5 Sustainable Summer Dresses
The sun warming your skin like a blanket pulled right from the dryer.
The grass tickling your feet and just a little dewy.
The wind brushing up against your cheek like a soft kiss.
Oh, how I love to play outside during the summertime.
I love nature, Mother Earth, the outdoors (whichever name you prefer) so much, I feel like the beginning of summer is like falling in love all over again every year.
And when I pull on a comfortable, beautiful dress that's sustainable, I feel like I'm honoring my love for nature. It means I tried to do the least amount of harm when shopping, because I'm all about changing the world one purchase at a time.

Did you know that out of every $100 spent at a local shop, $68 stay in the community; compared to $43 at a national chain? Visit your local boutiques and get to know the shop keepers. Honestly, it makes shopping so much more fun! Need a list of where to shop locally in Lincoln or Omaha, Nebraska? Hit me up!
Tencel is the most sustainable fabric on the market! It's composed of natural eucalyptus fibers, and TENCEL™ fibers are biodegradable and compostable and can fully revert back to nature. It feels silky and velvety to the touch, and it wears on every body type really well. You can shop Tencel at Reformation, Gap, Eileen Fisher and prAna.
Like I say on my About page, the average woman throws away 82 pounds of clothing a year. Textile waste is one of the top three environmental hazards — crazy, right? You don't usually think of that Forever 21 tank of polluting the world. But, unfortunately, it does. Which is a great reason to buy secondhand! Plus it's light on the wallet :)
Let's keep that money in the community!
